American Diving assists Sea Turtle Inc. in rescuing Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtles

January 21, 2007 South Padre Island, Texas - We assisted in the rescue of several Sea Turtles through the use of our dolphin watching boat, the M.V. Double Sunshine as a base platform for other boats to unload the turtles as well as using a smaller bay boat as a chase platform for the actual rescues. The turtles had been stunned by the unusually cold weather and were found floating in the Laguna Madre. Unable to dive, the made targets for boaters to accidentally hit. In a matter of a couple of days, over 100 turtles were rescued.
