Mr. Linscott moved to South Texas in December of 2002 from California.  He first came to American Diving as a customer aboard our Dolphin Watch Cruise. On this cruise, one of the crew members, Todd Schmanska began discussing scuba diving at American Diving.  Based on this conversation, Philip returned the next week to dive the Deep 6.  Philip was so impressed with the operations and handling of the divers that he began asking Tim O'Leary about his company.  Tim started talking to Philip about furthering his knowledge in the Dive industry through his training, and Philip was more than interested in learning more.  This started the adventure of Philip coming down every weekend to take many courses that American Diving had to offer.  It also helped that the water in the Gulf of Mexico was a lot warmer than the waters in the Pacific Ocean.

When Philip is not here on South Padre Island, you can find him roaming around the United States.  Philip is currently employed by Lightspeed Systems, a California based company, as a Senior Network Engineer.
